The Department of Homeland Security is ordering DeepSeek’s Chinese AI products pulled from US civilian government IT systems, under a notice published on Monday.
The order covers removal of DeepSeek products and third-party services built on its models from agency networks, and bars civilian agencies from acquiring them. DHS said the models present “multiple threat vectors” and warned their use could lead to sensitive data reaching China.

The move extends Washington’s campaign to strip Chinese technology from federal systems over national security concerns. DeepSeek has not publicly responded to the order.
