Netflix is developing a live-action series based on PUBG, with Donald Glover set to star, write, direct and executive produce. KRAFTON announced the project on October 29, and it comes from a first-look deal between Netflix and the South Korean publisher.
Glover’s brother Stephen Glover will write and executive produce alongside him. Michael Schaefer for NEON TV, Fam Udeorji for Gilga, and Taeseok Jang and Sujin Lee for KRAFTON’s entertainment arm LV3H will also executive produce.

PUBG launched in 2017 as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The game drops up to 100 players onto an island to fight until one survivor remains, and KRAFTON credits it with popularising the battle royale format worldwide. The franchise holds seven Guinness World Records, according to KRAFTON.
The series joins a growing slate of Netflix video game adaptations, including a live-action Assassin’s Creed show and a Gears of War film. No release date has been announced, and plot details have not been revealed.
