Bachelor Alum Melissa Rycroft Arrested on Second DWI Charge in Texas

1 min read

Former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft was arrested in Texas on Sunday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, her second DWI arrest in just over a year. Tarrant County jail records reviewed by TMZ and Entertainment Weekly show she was booked on November 1 in the county where she lives.

Rycroft faces charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with an invalid licence tied to a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility, and collision causing damage to a vehicle, according to the jail records. Her bond was set at a combined $9,000, and Entertainment Weekly reported she had not posted bail and was in custody at the Tarrant County Corrections Center in Fort Worth.

The arrest comes two months after Rycroft pleaded guilty in August 2026 to a DWI charge from September 2025. Under that plea deal, she received 20 months of probation instead of 280 days in jail, and was ordered to pay about $2,000 in fines and court costs, complete 36 hours of community service, take a DWI education course and undergo a substance abuse evaluation.

Rycroft, 43, appeared on season 13 of The Bachelor in 2009 and later won Dancing With the Stars. She has not publicly commented on the latest arrest, according to Parade.
