President Donald Trump will deliver his closing midterm message on Monday at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, a senior White House official said. The speech lands one day before voters decide control of Congress, with all 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats on the ballot.
Trump signalled the event on Sunday as he stepped off Air Force One for a rally in Iowa. He said speaking at the site would show how beautiful it is, according to the Associated Press. The White House later confirmed the Monday afternoon timing.
The speech caps a month-long rally blitz. Trump held his final campaign rallies on Sunday in Iowa and Kansas, where he urged Republican supporters to turn out and vote.

The Reflecting Pool carries a second message for the president. His administration recently finished repainting the pool basin and began refilling it, part of a wider second-term effort to restore landmarks in the capital. The Wall Street Journal reported that the remarks will focus on the agenda advanced by his administration and Republicans in Congress since the start of his second term.
Polls reported ahead of the speech show Democrats in a strong position to take the House, with a real contest for the Senate. Early voting has already drawn a record 54 million ballots, according to AFP.
