Social media fashion influencer Laleska Alexandre has passed away at the age of 28 after suffering from septic shock. She died on Wednesday due to complications from an ovarian infection, according to local reports.
The Brazilian social media personality’s passing was confirmed by O Globo, which stated that she died in Juazeiro do Norte.
According to O Globo, Laleska Alexandre had been diagnosed with a tubo-ovarian abscess (TOA), a severe complication of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) that primarily affects sexually active women of reproductive age, as described by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Her cousin, Karízia Temóteo, told CNN Brasil that Alexandre was admitted to the emergency room on Sunday, suffering from intense cramping. Her cousin told the news outlet that the influencer had been feeling unwell before being admitted to the local hospital.
She was later transferred to Cariri Regional Hospital for emergency surgery, but the infection had already progressed significantly.
The NIH defines TOAs as inflammatory masses in the fallopian tubes and ovaries, often filled with pus, typically resulting from an ascending infection in the upper genital tract. Symptoms include fever and abdominal pain, with serious risks if the abscess ruptures, potentially leading to sepsis.
Laleska Alexandre was the CEO of the marketing agency Agência Laleska Alexandre and the founder of the clothing brands La Vestiaire and La Brand Brasil.
The digital creator had 26,000 Instagram fans and loved to share her passion for fashion and entrepreneurship.
