Actor Johnny Wactor was identified as a victim shooting victim in an attempted attempted catalytic converter theft in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday.
Wactor appeared in 164 episodes of General Hospital as the character Brando Corbin. His role ran from 2020 through 2022.
Police said Wactor saw three men stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle. When he confronted them they turned around and shot him.
Police officers from the LAPD responded to the area of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street around 3:25 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived Wactor was on the ground suffering from gun shot wounds.
Wactor was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his gun shot wound and died.
The murder suspects have not been apprehended as yet.
Wactor’s death was originally reported by TMZ. Wactor’s younger brother confirmed to KTLA that Johnny Wactor was the victim.
In addition to General Hospital Johnny Wactor also appeared in West World and Criminal Minds.
