Hi, what are you looking for?

Ozzy Osbourne provides a ‘painful’ health report as he cancels his forthcoming tour.

The Black Sabbath vocalist was due to perform at Power Trip for the first time in five years.

Ozzy Osbourne has prioritized his music career for decades, but now he must prioritize his health and welfare above everything else.

The Black Sabbath vocalist has been plagued by health issues in recent years, including many surgeries following a severe accident and a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.

Though he has previously expressed his determination to continue doing what he loves most, performing on stage, he provided a difficult update for fans hoping to see him at the Power Trip Festival, a rock music extravaganza hosted by Coachella founders Goldenvoice and featuring iconic rock bands such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and others, on Monday.

Though the festival is slated for October 6-8, Ozzy said on Monday, July 10, that he had to make the “painful” decision to withdraw from his presence.

“As painful as this is, I’ve had to decide to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October,” he stated in an Instagram message.

“My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024,” he added, “and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.”

“Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet,” he said, adding, “and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.”

“The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly,” he said, before assuring supporters, “They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed.”

“Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unwavering loyalty and ongoing support,” he continued, before closing, “I love you all, and I will see you soon.”

His devoted followers were quick to express their condolences and support, stating in the post’s comments section: “Everyone loves you, my guy.” Take care of yourself,” and “There’s no need to apologize, sir; you’ve offered years of amusement.” Take care of yourself,” as well as: “Health comes first, Ozz. Take as much time as you need, we understand,” another admirer said, adding, “Please don’t apologize, Ozzy, get well.”

When promoting his 13th solo studio album, Patient 9, in September last year, Ozzy talked about his desire to return to the stage.

“I am determined to get back on stage, even if I have to be nailed to a board and wheeled on,” he stated at the time, adding that “survival is my legacy.”

Despite admitting that his previous health troubles “totally messed me up,” he stated, “I’ve never been this laid up…”I don’t understand my luck,” he said, insisting he wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

“This is where I belong… My relationship with my audience is the biggest love affair I’ve ever had,” he remarked.
