Following Jeff Beck’s death, several celebrities, including Keith Urban, expressed condolences on social media.
Shortly after the news emerged, the country music king turned to Instagram to share a heartfelt memorial message to the deceased musician and a personal narrative about his time with him.
“When I learned that Jeff Beck had ‘portalled into the next realm,’ I was both surprised and saddened by the news,” Keith said.
“It isn’t easy to define or describe his talent and music or to attempt to quantify his impact on artists, vocalists, and music enthusiasts worldwide, not only guitarists.
“He’s unquestionably one of the few faces on the Mt. Rushmore of guitar players. I am incredibly grateful to my buddy Scott Bradoka for inviting me to witness Jeff play last September.”
“Billy Gibbons and I stood off to the side of the stage, watching Jeff conjure the spell that only he could with nothing more than a Strat, some pedals, a couple of amps, and what can only be described as his otherworldly talent.”

Keith Urban delivered a heartfelt eulogy for his friend Jeff Beck after learning of his death.
Followers were quick to write comments on the post, with one saying, “Very well said.” “He was undoubtedly one of the greats,” a second individual commented, while a third added, “Thank you for the nice compliment. I grew up listening to Jeff Beck’s music and have always respected him.
Keith’s wife, Nicole Kidman, will support and comfort him during this difficult time. After a period of separation imposed by the demands of their separate work, the couple reunited in Australia just before Christmas.
Nicole worked in Hong Kong while Keith was touring the United States during his Speed of Now tour.
The couple appeared happy to be reunited in photos taken at Sydney airport. Their children, Sunday and Faith, arrived at the airport simultaneously with their parents.
