Soap Opera Star Known For Her Roles In ‘Another World’ And ‘All My Children’ Dies At 70

Actress Nancy Frangione is best known for her work on soap operas including “Another World,” “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.” She also appeared in multiple TV shows and TV movies including “The Nanny,” “Highway to Heaven,” and “Matlock.”

Now, Frangione’s family is announcing the sad news that the talented actress has died. She was 70 years old.

Frangione was in Massachusetts at the time of her death on August 18, 2023. A cause of death has not been disclosed. Her obituary only mentions a “brief illness.”

Frangione’s love of acting began at a young age. In high school, she performed in multiple musicals, and after graduation, she went to Barry College in Florida. Her next stop was New York, where she began her professional acting career which eventually took her from New York to Los Angeles.

Before appearing on screen, Frangione appeared on Broadway in the cast of Equus. Her first credited acting role was for “One Life to Live,” where she was a temporary replacement for Andrea Evans in 1968. Then, she landed a role on “All My Children” as Tara Martin Brent. Finally, she was cast as Cecile de Poulignac on the soap opera “Another World.” She appeared in 75 episodes of the show from 1980 through 1995.

Besides acting, Frangione also had a variety of interests and hobbies including gardening, astrology, reading and movies. She was a talented singer and also had a great sense of humor.

Frangione was married once to actor Christopher Rich, who was her co-star on “Another World.” They had one child together, a daughter named Mariel Rich. She is survived by her four sisters, her brother, her ex-husband and her daughter.
