Susan Dey’s life following the popular TV show “The Partridge Family” and her childhood romance on coworker David Cassidy

How many of you have seen “The Partridge Family?” If you were a fan, you were most likely fascinated by the beauty of Laurie Partridge, played by actress Susan Dey.

Susan had no acting experience when she was offered the role in the ABC series that lasted four years, from 1970 to 1974, but casting her was the perfect thing to do because she was tremendously gifted and felt like she’d been in front of the camera many times before.

Many people were captivated by the travels of the singing family, who moved from place to place to perform in a restored psychedelic school bus. After it was completed in the United States, it became a significant hit in the United Kingdom, and the cast became extremely popular.

Susan’s coworker, David Cassidy, who played Keith in the show, immediately became a teen idolized by many girls. Susan was one of those women who was obsessed with him. She had a long-standing crush on him, but the two only began dating after the show ended.

Their romance didn’t last long, and they remained excellent friends until David wrote his book, C’mon, Get Happy: Fear and Loathing on the Partridge Family Bus, in which he discussed his relationship with Susan in detail. Among the others, he stated that he ended his relationship with her because she was too naive for him.

Susan was enraged by this. She vowed never to talk to him again, even refusing to attend a cast reunion years later.

Susan has been in numerous films and television shows since “The Partridge Family” she has even written a book titled Susan Dey’s Secrets on Boys, Beauty, and Popularity.

She received six Golden Globe and three Emmy nominations before winning a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her performance as Grace Van Owen in “LA Law.”

According to Worldation.com, Susan turned down the role of Sandy in Grease, and Olivia Newton-John, who played Sandy, was given the role of Laurie in “The Partridge Family,” but her management urged her not to take it.

Susan lives a tranquil life in New York with her husband and their family, where she grew up. She’s no longer in the spotlight, but she’ll always be remembered as someone who made our adolescence memorable. No matter how much time passes, no one ever forgets a show like “The Partridge Family.”
