The cast of Small People, Big World is devastated by tragedy after losing loved ones.

The Roloff family, who gained fame on the reality show Little People, Big World, has dealt with losing many loved ones.

Despite this, the tragedy has brought the family closer together.

Earlier this year, celebrity Matt Roloff paid a heartfelt homage to his father, Ronald James Roloff, who died at 84.

Matt, 60, opened up about his beloved father on Instagram.

“A sad week for the Roloff Family… my dad… lovingly known as ‘papa’ to his ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren gently went home to be with his Lord and Savior last evening,” he said in an emotional tribute.

“Ron was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and inspiration to many.”

“He loved people, and anyone who ever met him knows that! His devotion to Jesus was palpable throughout his life, especially in his closing hours.”

Matt has written about his father’s battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia before his death.

Matt also suffered the loss of a brother.

Matt had to say goodbye to his brother far too soon after losing his father.

Josh Roloff died at the age of 34 in 1999.

As a toddler, he was diagnosed with significant heart and lung difficulties.

His legacy carries on via his family even decades after he died.

They even dedicated their book Small Family, Big Values to Josh, stating, “A fantastic son, brother, uncle, and friend who was with us in this world for far too short a time. We all miss you and think of you every day, and we hope to see you again one day in the presence of our Jesus.”

Amy’s mother died.

Amy, Matt’s ex-wife, tragically lost her mother, Patricia Knight, when she was celebrating her engagement to her second husband, Chris Marek.

“The previous two weeks have been a roller coaster ride,” she admitted in 2019. Both happy and sad. Chris proposed to me, and I couldn’t be happier.

“Very sad because a few days later, my father told me mom was in the hospital, and a day after, my sister told me mom had passed away. She passed away on the 24th. My heart broke, I cried, and despair overwhelmed me. “I had no idea what feelings to experience.”

Jacob might never have met his brother-in-law.

Amy and Matt’s kid Jacob might never have met his brother-in-law.

He married Isabel in 2019, and it is uncertain when they met.

Unless, of course, that was before 2012. Tomás Garrenton, Isabel’s brother, will not have met Jacob.

Tomás died tragically in a train accident.

Isabel, who has a kid with Jacob, has promised her child will know everything about his uncle.

“He’ll know everything about you,” she remarked last year. Every time I cried, you used to make me laugh. So, before you died, you wrote some perfect tunes. Uncle Tomás, my son will know everything about you.”

Isabel had also lost her mother.

Isabel lost her mother, Toni Garreton, two years after her brother died.

“Grief is an odd beast,” she said on social media then. The ache can hit you so hard that you have to slam on your brakes while driving along a road in your hometown that you’ve driven numerous times with your mother.

“I swear I could smell her perfume at the time. Listen to her laugh. All of this suggests I cared for her. I was familiar with her. All of her memories flood back to me because they were mine to retain. We were unbreakable. And this path I traveled with her, I shall go many times more and miss her each time.”
