Aerosmith have shared rehearsal photos that confirm original drummer Joey Kramer is back behind the kit for their first live shows in more than three years.
The band plays two comeback concerts at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 29 and Nov. 1, billed as “California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends.” The guest list includes Guns N’ Roses, Heart, Run-DMC, Slash, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar and Eric Church, with lineups varying each night.

The shows close a rough chapter. Aerosmith canceled its Peace Out farewell tour in 2023 after frontman Steven Tyler fractured his larynx, then announced its retirement from touring. Kramer, who had sued the band over being shut out of a 2020 appearance, stayed away from the farewell dates.
The rehearsal pictures, shot by photographer Ross Halfin, show all five classic-era members smiling, according to Consequence. The band captioned them: “The Bad Boys from Boston are back!”
The Hollywood Bowl nights mark the first Aerosmith gigs since the injury ended the farewell run in September 2023, and the first with Kramer since February 2020.
