Jennifer Lawrence confirmed on Wednesday that she is returning to Panem. The actor said on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she, Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson will all appear in the new prequel, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
Lawrence called the reunion unbelievable. She said the production brought back the same crew, the same camera operators and the same assistant director she worked with on the original films.
She described the experience as emotional. She said she and Hutcherson barely walked anywhere on set without their arms around each other, and joked that Harrelson came through her hotel room window uninvited.

Lawrence will reprise Katniss Everdeen, Hutcherson returns as Peeta Mellark and Harrelson is back as Haymitch Abernathy. The three last appeared together in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2, released in 2015.
The prequel is set 24 years before the first film, during the 50th Hunger Games. Joseph Zada plays the young Haymitch, and Harrelson takes over from him in a flash-forward epilogue, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lawrence also admitted she stayed Team Gale in Katniss’s love triangle, even though Liam Hemsworth does not return as Gale Hawthorne. The film reaches theatres on November 20, 2026.
