Noel Clarke Pleads Not Guilty to Six Sexual Offence Charges

1 min read

British actor Noel Clarke denied six sexual offence charges at a London court on Wednesday. The 50-year-old appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and entered not-guilty pleas to two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure.

The allegations concern five women and events said to have taken place between 2007 and 2016, the Metropolitan Police said. Clarke, who was charged in September after an investigation launched that month in 2025, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address before entering his pleas.

He was granted conditional bail and will next appear at Southwark Crown Court on November 18. The prosecutor told the court Clarke had been in a position of power and trust at the time of the alleged offences.

Clarke is best known for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who and for writing and starring in the film Kidulthood. He has not worked in a substantial on-screen role since 2021, when The Guardian published multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against him, which he denied. He later lost a libel case against the newspaper, and the court ordered him to pay a share of its legal costs.
