Actor Selma Blair apologised publicly on Friday for the first time since her arrest after an alleged incident on a Delta flight on 11 October, telling followers she was sorry to anyone she disappointed, hurt or frightened.
Blair, 54, posted the video to Instagram on 30 October, according to USA Today. She said her lawyers had asked her not to discuss the events of that day while legal proceedings continue, and that she was taking the matter very seriously.

“I know I’ve been quiet for a couple weeks since October 11th, and you deserve to hear from me directly, and I’m sorry that it’s taken this long,” she said in the video. She added that she had never intended to hurt or frighten anyone.
Police arrested Blair at John F. Kennedy International Airport after Delta Flight 938 arrived from Los Angeles, according to a Port Authority statement reported by USA Today. Two flight attendants reported injuries.
Blair pleaded not guilty on 12 October to two counts of second-degree assault, People reported, covering alleged incidents involving a Port Authority police officer and a nurse after the flight. Her attorney told the court she had missed doses of medication and had fallen and hit her head aboard the plane, according to CNN. Her representative has described the episode as a medical emergency.
Blair closed the video by thanking people who had sent messages of support, and said she would now focus on her health and her son.
