Six women who accuse Russell Brand of rape and sexual assault have described their encounters with the British actor and comedian during his trial in London, the Associated Press reported Thursday.
The women, who do not know each other, allege Brand assaulted them in separate incidents between 1999 and 2009, at locations including workplaces, a hotel room and a bathroom at a bar, according to the AP.

Brand, 51, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault. Prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones told jurors at Southwark Crown Court that Brand was “ruthless,” calculating and manipulative, with an “indiscriminate and voracious” desire for sexual contact at the time, the AP reported. Brand denies all the charges.
The judge told jurors that all six complainants came forward after a 2023 documentary about Brand, and that the women whose allegations appeared in the documentary are not part of this case, Reuters reported. The trial is expected to run for about six weeks.
