President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States will stop providing about $4 billion a year in military aid to Israel after the end of this year. He made the remarks in an interview on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” on the morning of Election Day, 3 November 2026.
Trump said he reached an agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu months ago. He said Israel “doesn’t need it”, and that the United States would still help Israel if it needed assistance.

Israel currently receives about $3.8 billion a year in military aid under a 10-year memorandum of understanding, CNN reported. The agreement covers $3.3 billion in Foreign Military Financing and $500 million for missile defence, and it runs through fiscal year 2028.
That detail leaves open questions about what Trump meant. CNN reported there was no immediate comment from Netanyahu’s office, and it was not immediately clear which specific funding Trump referred to or whether a formal change to the agreement would need congressional action.
