A24’s documentary “You Can See Everything” took first place at the North American box office on Friday, earning $3.56 million from 3,243 theatres on its third Friday, according to Variety.
Warner Bros. and DC’s “Clayface” finished second with $3.3 million from 3,478 theatres, taking its domestic total to $36.9 million.
Rival estimates put the documentary on course for about $10.65 million for the weekend, just ahead of the $10.25 million projected for “Clayface”.

“You Can See Everything”, a documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, opened on October 16. Its Friday win extends an unusual run in which a three-hour documentary has held its own against a comic-book horror release through the Halloween weekend.
