Alexander Brothers Each Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Sex Trafficking

1 min read

Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander were each sentenced to 30 years in prison on Tuesday in a Manhattan federal courtroom, closing a sex trafficking case that ended the brothers’ run as high-flying luxury real estate brokers.

US District Judge Valerie Caproni handed down the sentences after a daylong hearing in which about a dozen women gave victim impact statements, according to the Associated Press. The brothers were convicted in March on sex trafficking charges after prosecutors described a yearslong pattern of luring women with luxury experiences, then drugging and raping them.

Prosecutors had sought life sentences. Defence lawyers asked for the 15-year minimum required by law. Caproni chose a term between the two, and told the brothers their conduct was monstrous, comparing them to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Twins Oren and Alon Alexander are 39, and Tal Alexander is 40. Oren and Tal built their careers at Douglas Elliman before starting their own luxury brokerage, Official, in 2022. Alon worked at the family’s private security firm. All three were arrested in December 2024.

Throughout the hearing, the brothers maintained they never drugged and raped anyone, while expressing regret for how they treated women. Their lawyers said they will appeal, the Associated Press reported.

Two of the brothers still face a second criminal trial, and all three face dozens of civil lawsuits, according to the New York Post. The sentences mean the brothers will remain in prison into their late sixties.
