Wrestling legend Ric Flair was rushed to a hospital in Tampa on Friday, hours after revealing he had been diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg.
According to TMZ, the 77-year-old WWE Hall of Famer was at a restaurant on Friday morning when he walked outside, fell, and injured his face. The outlet reported that he cut his head and eye open and left the scene in an ambulance. TMZ added that his eye was bleeding extensively and that he may have suffered a concussion.

The fall came the same day Flair told fans he was cancelling a scheduled appearance at Washington State Horror Con in Puyallup, Washington. In a statement posted on social media, he wrote that doctors had limited his travel to three to four hours and that Seattle was outside that range.
“Unfortunately, I am dealing with a blood clot in my leg, and my doctors have limited my travel,” Flair wrote. He added that blood clots are serious and life-threatening, pointing to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who has been treated for pulmonary emboli, and said he is scheduled to undergo a procedure to strip the affected vein.
Flair has dealt with serious health problems in recent years. In May, he said publicly that he was taking time to focus on his health. It is not yet clear whether the fall is connected to the blood clot.
