Vanessa Trump, 48, says she is cancer-free, six months after revealing a breast cancer diagnosis. She shared the news Friday in a short video her daughter Kai Trump, 19, posted on Instagram to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in April,” Kai said in the clip, “so we thought we would share her story and how she was diagnosed and how she overcame it.” Vanessa then announced that her latest test results “came back clear, so I’m finally cancer-free.”
Vanessa first went public with the diagnosis in May, writing on Instagram that she was working with her medical team on a treatment plan and had undergone a procedure earlier that week. In June she said she was recovering from surgery and would soon begin a second stage of treatment.

She and Kai also sat down with radiologist Dr. Nicole Saphier to talk through the diagnosis, treatment and recovery, with the longer conversation set to appear on Kai’s YouTube channel this weekend. The announcement drew a wave of well-wishers, including Ivanka Trump, who wrote: “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery.”
